Machine learning specialist
I am interested in issues related to water quantity and quality
in natural and managed landscapes.
I work within the Analysis and Prediction Division of the
Water Mission Area at the USGS to understand fundemental connections between
hydrologic and biogeochemical cycling. I use data-driven tools like
machine learning, and information theory to model and understand how our
our hydrologic systems are changing and how we can best manage them in the future.
In the past, I have used a combination of field, lab and modeling methods,
and I am particularly interested in developing understanding
at multiple different scales from centimeter to continental.
